The man behind the camera is John Ward and I have been taking photographs since they were originally chiseled on stone tablets. Okay, okay, maybe not that long, but my first foray into the world of photography was at High School back in the late 1970's where I learned the basics of Black and White photography and the processing of B&W film in the dark room at my High School while trying to capture collisions during Physics class. That's when I was bitten by the photography bug.
After leaving school I stepped into the world of SLR cameras and moved onto processing my photos using colour film and slides. I was shooting motor sport for fun and eventually found myself drawn to underwater photography while pursuing my other passion, Scuba Diving. Through the requests of friends I started shooting engagements and weddings in the late 1980's which progressed into a regular occurrence. Eventually I got married myself and life and family took my focus away from photography for a while.
In the early 2000's along comes Digital SLR's and my interest in photography was re-ignited. I now shoot aviation (mainly warbirds) for fun, Products (jewelry, small items, etc), Weddings and Engagement sessions and Portraits (family, children and semi-glam).
